Programs

Vision

The vision of the Center is to incarnate Christ in the community by offering various programs to meet people’s need where they are. The focus of our work is family ministry to work with people at various stages in their lives to build them up in the Gospel and live as followers of Christ. The Center is the outreach arm which provides opportunities for our members to apply their faith in a structured environment. Currently, the Winter Spring programs are in session. Yearly Programs:

Mitzie Mackenzie Playground

The playground and basketball court are open to the community 7 days a week.

Academic Year Programs (September – June):

Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Classes

Classes run Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 3:00pm. The classes follow the School District of Philadelphia holiday and emergency school closing schedules.

*Please note that a child must be at least 4 years old by September 1st to be considered for pre-kindergarten and 5 years old by September 1st for the kindergarten class.

After-School Program

A Tutoring program that runs Monday – Thursday from 3:30pm – 5:30pm for students in grade school (1st – 8th grades). We provide snacks and offer a safe, clean, and caring environment to help children complete their homework, participate in Bible lessons, cook, and play.

SAT-Prep Program

Program runs every Wednesday from 6:30pm – 8:00pm for high school students. The program teaches students test-taking techniques and strategies as well as runs through material and practice tests with the students to prepare them for college board examinations.

Youth ESL (YEES)

Provides English language instruction/support to youth.

Adult ESL Class (for Cantonese Speakers)

This long-standing program reaches out to adults, teaching English and assisting the students as they have need. Classes run every Monday & Thursday from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.

Summer Programs (June – August):

PUMP Summer Camp

Full-day, Tuesday-Friday, 5-week, Christian day camp for ages 7 – 18 years old. There will be a PUMP Leadership Information Meeting on March 2, 2014 at 1pm at Vine Basement to go over registration for leaders.
Term: late June – late July
Registration Date: Begins in March. Ends in April.

Basketball Camp with the Philadelphia Suns

Summer basketball camp for ages 6- 17, one day a week.
Term: July – August

Table Tennis Program
